The frosting by itself tasted more cream cheese than anything, but paired with the cake it was pretty good. Also, the recipe made 50% more cupcakes than I expected, which was good (yay cupcakes) and bad (I ran out of containers...)

long but interesting reads
why we procrastinate, how to beat it, and the matrix - ironically i procrastinated reading this =P
why i don't date white men - something i can relate to
pretending to be us while pretending we don't exist - admittedly I got a little lost reading this, but the overall message takes a different spin from others i have read on the topic of race
subtle linguistics of polite white supremacy - good analysis of our society
apparently i am drawn to discussions and conversations about race lately, especially how it affects individuals and societal expectations. maybe because i am becoming more aware of how i am perceived by society, and why i often have trouble fitting in
on a random note... i recently learned the word 'lackadaisical', and it is a fun word that is strangely descriptive of myself...

Pic taken as a reference of the cookies I got, so not exactly artsy. They make one of my favorite chocolate chip cookies, soft and fulfilling, not dry and not lumpy, great consistency. Tried the orange snickerdoodle and flourless Mexican chocolate too, they were also tasty.
