Homemade semifreddo |
Semifreddo is a semi-frozen dessert with a lighter and fluffier consistency than gelato. This was my first time making a frozen dessert, and my friends all gave it a thumbs up. There was a lot of berry juice that serttled on the bottom (which became the top) and became an interesting icy crust to the whole thing.
One lesson learned from this experience - whipping cream can be overwhipped into a butter-like substance. Ah, right, yes. They are both made from cream...
